Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney Test

The Wilcoxon-Mann-Whitney test (also called Wilcoxon rank-sum test) is a non-parametric test of the null hypothesis that two populations are the same against an alternative hypothesis, which is a non-parametric analog to the independent sample t-test.

It has greater efficiency than the t-test on non-normal distributions, especially that a particular population tends to have larger values than the other, and it is nearly as efficient as the t-test on normal distributions.
